On April 28-29 Grapevine High School and Colleyville Heritage High School students participated in the State Visual Arts and Scholastic Events (VASE) Contest, held at San Marcos High School. Five GCISD students received superior ratings and medals for their ceramic pieces and paintings.

While attending the event, GCISD students had the opportunity to see artwork from other districts around the state. More than 2,000 pieces of art were judged and on display at the VASE contest. Students also took part in scholarship opportunities and workshops for art in various media.

GHS Visual Art Specialist Kelly Richey said, “We are very proud of the hard work, dedication, and talent of our art.”
