Transportation Update: All buses will run all of their normal routes this afternoon, including routes in the areas that were impacted earlier this morning at Heritage Elementary, O.C. Taylor Elementary and Colleyville Middle schools.
Transportation alert affecting portions of HES, OCT & CMS: Flooding from last night’s storms is affecting some bus routes. The following routes will not have service: TransUnion Apts on Heritage Ave and Bardilino Ave @ Heritage Ave.
Routes that are accessible, but that may be delayed by 5-10 minutes are routes in the Glade Parks Subdivision - Heritage Ave & Guadalupe Ave. This impacts students from Heritage Elementary, O.C. Taylor Elementary, and Colleyville Middle.
All other routes are operating as normal.
All buses have been able to begin their routes and we are expecting no more than a 15 minute delay. Thank you!
This morning, the fire alarm was going off at GCISD's Transportation Building as bus drivers were arriving. The fire department is on the scene and staff is currently waiting for the all clear. However, all bus routes across the district will be delayed this morning. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
GCISD’s Nutrition Services is pleased to announce that parents can now download the MySchoolBucks app to make online prepayments on their child’s school meal account and view transactions. There is a $2.75 processing fee for each transaction.

🦅Happy Principals Month🦅Our next principal highlight is Mrs. Hemme from Heritage Elementary School. She loves her job because the staff at HES is phenomenal. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has announced a temporary delay in the release of 2023 A-F accountability ratings for all districts and campuses across the State of Texas. The ratings were originally scheduled for release on September 28 and will now be delayed by approximately one month, according to the TEA’s press release.

Raptor visitor management system is experiencing a system-wide service interruption. The vendor is working to get the issue resolved as soon as possible. If visiting campuses, please bring your ID as we are manually checking in visitors. Thank you for your patience as the vendor works to resolve this issue.
Please join us for our first Parent Tech Academy of the school year at the Professional Development & Education Center (PDEC) on September 20th at 6:30 p.m. The technology department will discuss apps that parents use, such as Canvas, Skyward, Lightspeed and Seesaw. Update 5:18 p.m.: According to the Colleyville Fire Department, Warrior Way and the southbound 121 access road remains closed between Hall-Johnson and Glade. If you are traveling to CHHS for football or tennis, please use an alternate route.
Update 5:12 p.m.: Power remains out at CHHS, HMS, HES, ECDC, and Heritage Annex buildings. At this time, freshman football games and tennis matches at CHHS will begin as scheduled.

Up to 8 days per year (4 per semester) may be excused by a parent note for missed attendance beyond medical, approved excused, and statutorily exemptions. Vacations taken during the school year will be coded as unexcused absences.
