Golden Paws and Blue Paws The BCE Cubs are recognized by their teachers for doing great things and following the Creek Credo. Here is what they had to say: This Cub is consistently kind to classmates and participates in class every day. Another student does a great job following the school's credo and helping friends. One student is a kind friend to everyone and has a sweet heart. This student works hard and is a great example to others. This Cub is a rockstar, stepping up to help someone in need. An amazing leader in the class is always prepared and ready to learn. This student is fun to have in class, participates, actively listens, and is trustworthy. This Cub consistently follows the school's credo, staying on task, and being respectful and trustworthy. A student demonstrated polite and courteous behavior in the classroom. This student is always on task, patiently waiting for instructions, and following every part of the credo. This student is kind, trustworthy, respectful, helpful, and funny, and works hard every day. Two students were nominated together for working together every day without being asked to support other students and staff in the classroom and throughout the hallways. They are great examples of leaders and consistently follow the school's credo. One student shows up to school every day ready to learn and participate with a smile and positive energy. This student works hard, always has a smile, and follows routines. Another student works hard and is always on task. This student is also a hard worker with no excuses and is a leader who always tries their best. Another student demonstrated active listening and followed instructions, serving as a positive role model for their peers.

Magic Makers Each week, we recognize staff members who go above and beyond to make our school an amazing place for everyone. The dedication and hard work of our team are what make Bear Creek a place where students can thrive. Magic Maker recipients are: Ms. Erickson A special shout-out to Ms. Erickson! Since becoming the 5th-grade team leader, she's shown incredible leadership. We're especially thankful for her dedication to coordinating the Sky Ranch field trip—she's doing a great job getting everything ready for the students. Ms. Connolly We'd like to extend a special thanks to **Ms. Remi** for her incredible leadership as our Pre-K team lead. She was instrumental in helping the team establish essential routines and procedures, especially as we finalized our hiring. Ms. Remi's dedication didn't go unnoticed; she consistently sacrificed her lunch and planning time and made no excuses to attend the Teacher Thursday meetings, all to ensure her team started the year in a positive environment. Her commitment and selflessness are truly commendable! Ms. Robinson We want to give a huge thank you to Ms. Robinson, our wonderful counselor! She has shown a "no excuses" attitude from the very beginning of the year, providing incredible support to families as they complete their Skyward forms. Her dedication and hard work have made a real difference. Ms. Robinson is also a source of great ideas that have helped make our school more organized. She came up with the brilliant idea of adding bear paws to the hallway floors to show students exactly where to line up for transitions. It's a simple idea that has made our hallways so much smoother and more organized. We truly appreciate everything she does for our school! We are so grateful for the hard work and passion our staff brings to Bear Creek every single day. Their efforts are a huge part of the magic that happens here.

A huge thank you to all the parents who took time out of their busy schedules to attend Curriculum Night. Your presence and engagement make a world of difference. Our teachers put so much effort into preparing the information you need to help your child have a successful year, and it was wonderful to see so many of you there. If you were unable to attend, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher. They would be more than happy to share their presentation slides and answer any questions you may have.

"A Special Moment with Officer Caldwell" Officer Caldwell noticed a Pre-K student having a tough day and gently asked if he’d like to hang out for a bit. The student eagerly said yes. Before long, almost the entire Pre-K class was gathered around, handing Officer Caldwell balls to throw and joining in the fun. It turned into a joyful, spontaneous playtime. A beautiful reminder of the impact kindness and connection can have, even in the smallest moments.

A huge shout-out to our incredible PTA! 🎉 Our teachers are feeling the love after being treated to a delicious Costa Vida lunch, complete with cookies for dessert and a fridge full of refreshing drinks to kick off the new school year. Happy First Day of School!

We are so thankful for our local community partners! This year, Chicken N Pickle chose Bear Creek to be the recipient of their school supply drive. We asked for snacks, notebooks, and pencil boxes, and we received a huge number of donations. Your generosity will make a big difference for our students!

Welcoming our newest families to the Creek! We had a wonderful time at our Pre-K camp, where our newest students got a sneak peek into their classrooms and became a little more comfortable with their new school environment. Our teachers were so excited to meet everyone and can't wait to start the school year! A huge thank you to our amazing PTA volunteers for helping to tell our school's story and for making the night so special. We couldn't have done it without you!

What a wonderful way to kick off the school year! Our kindergarten camp was a huge success. Thanks to our amazing staff and PTA for making it a welcoming experience for all our BCE families. We loved seeing our young cubs get to know their classrooms! Welcome class of 2038.

Mrs. Perry:
Hi all! I am excited to begin my 7th year at The Creek. This will be my 14th year of teaching. I love what I do, my “why” is always the kiddos, so I can’t imagine doing anything else
Ms. Currier:
Hey everyone! This will be my second year teaching at Bear Creek, and my seventh year in education. I am currently studying at SMU to become a principal. I am a Colorado native, but have been in Texas for four years and am finally adjusting to the heat!
Ms. Bradley:
Hello! This is my 30th year teaching at Bear Creek and my 32nd year in education!
I have taught Kindergarten and First Grade at BCE!!!
I am so excited to welcome a new group of Kinder kids and help them to have a great year!!

Meet the First Grade Team!
Ms. Brooks: I graduated from Texas Tech University. I have experience in Kindergarten and First grade. I love traveling, shopping, reading, spending time with friends and family, and playing with my dogs, Ivy and Lucy.
Mrs. Hall: Hey everyone! I taught 4th grade at Bear Creek last year and am so giddy to teach 1st grade this year!! I love being outside, watching tv, been getting into reading lately, and spending time with my sweet husband!! Excited for year 2 at the Creek!
Mrs. Wheeler: This will be my 9th year teaching at the Creek. I have taught Pre-K and First. My husband and I just celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, and we have two dogs (Arya & Rayder) and a horse (Chanel). I love going on walks, traveling, horseback riding, attending sporting events, and watching movies.
Ms. Bizal: This is my second year at Bear Creek. I’ve taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade and I’m thrilled to be teaching 1st this year! Some of my favorite things are traveling, playing sports, spending time outdoors, reading, baking, going to the beach, and finding a good ice cream shop! I’m excited to see what this school year has in store for us!
